Original Santas by Lizzet & Rodolfo

Back in 2005, our new teammate and designer Amanda P., set out to draw a Santa Claus. Lizzet, newly married daughter of artists Pablo and Ana Hurtado, had just established her new workshop together with her husband Rodolfo. So we sent the new design off to our office in Peru, who printed it and sent it by bus up into the mountains to Cochas. Then we waited! Rodolfo translated the drawing to a gourd, and Lizzet finely carved the amazing details in a very large gourd. The result was espectacular, and these Lucuma Designs' exclusive gourd ornaments and boxes have been perpetual best sellers since 2006, and the artists have prospered ever since. See them all!
