with Fashion Handbags and Accessories

has added another creative dimension to Lucuma Designs handcrafted collection.
Lucuma, an innovative e-commerce company well known for its fine Peruvian art
and craft pieces, is introducing a new line of fashion handbags
and accessories
for 2004 and debuting at the New York Gift Fair in February.
These chic wooden handbags are reminiscent of the trendy cigar box purses
but are original works of art unlike anything else on
the market. Each one is handcrafted in pine or cedar, hand painted in fresh
floral designs and signed by a Peruvian artist. Store buyers can pick and
choose the flowers, sizes and details to match their style.
In the true spirit of its mission, Lucuma encourages a family of artists that
creates it’s hand painted collection to expand their creativity even further
and apply their art talent to fashion. “Everyone loves something new,” says
Alessandra, “and I found these flowers to be the perfect match for my new
collection.”
Real alpaca fur fashion handbags and hats are being planned for the 2005
collection, and are expected to create a buzz in the fashion scene this summer
as buyers gear up for the coming fall and winter seasons.

folk art to tickle the imagination while supporting creative work for women and
