Thousands join the procession of "El Señor De Los Milagros" or Lord of Miracles that takes place every October in Lima, Peru. The month of October is known as the purple month since most followers wear that color to show their devotion. This celebration dates back hundreds of years and celebrates the miracles performed by a picture of Christ painted on a old church wall that survived earthquakes and persecutions to become a treasured part of Peruvian culture.
